Wade.<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Roe\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was decided in 1973 when the Supreme Court held that the right for a woman to get an abortion is protected under the implied right to privacy that is in the \u201cpenumbras\u201d of the constitution. This right to privacy extends to people\u2019s private lives, including sex, contraception, marriage, child rearing, and abortion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There have been challenges to abortion before, but none as flagrant as the case that the Supreme Court recently heard oral arguments on called\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scotusblog.com\/case-files\/cases\/dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health-organization\/\"><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dobbs v.
