Riojas<\/em>,<\/a> a decision that was issued yesterday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What happened in <em>Taylor<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>Texas inmate Trent Taylor was subjected to inhumane conditions in his Texas jail cell, after being committed to the unit following a suicide attempt.\u00a0 The conditions described were horrifying.\u00a0 Taylor was stripped naked and placed in a cell covered in feces from previous residents.\u00a0 The feces contaminated his water supply, leading Taylor to not eat or drink for four days out of fear of becoming ill.\u00a0 \u00a0Correctional officers then moved Taylor to another cell, which was equally horrific.\u00a0 The second cell was a \u201cseclusion cell\u201d with no bed or other furniture, \u00a0and no toilet to use, just a drain for bodily fluids.\u00a0 As if the conditions would not get worse, the cell was frigidly cold, and Taylor had nothing but a suicide blanket for warmth.\u00a0 He was forced to sleep on the urine-soaked floor.\u00a0 As a result of these conditions, he could not use the bathroom for over 24 hours, and as a result, Taylor suffered a distended bladder requiring catheterization.<\/p>\n<div class=\"read_more_link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.delsignoredefense.com\/blog\/2486-2\/\"  title=\"Continue Reading United States Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Inmate; Denies Officers Qualified Immunity\" class=\"more-link\">Continue Reading \u203a<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United States Supreme Court in favor of an inmate in Taylor v.
